Design proposals for a mixed use project which sits above a Grade II listed structure. The uses for the site include budget accommodation and student studios with restaurant / retail units at the ground floor. The design cantilevers over the listed vent shaft to make a dramatic feature of the circular structure and uses it as an influence for a gently curving tower which sits behind the main building fronting the street.
