Located in the midst of ‘lawyer land’, the existing building was in need of significant refurbishment. The proposals include for the complete demolition and reinstallation of the existing reception area, Cat-A office areas, new sanitary cores and a new means of escape route via a new secondary rear stair to enhance and improve the existing building, also resulting in a net floor area gain too. The existing fifth floor was significantly reconfigured to include new full height glazing and internal feature stair. Planning permissions and conservation area consents were sucessfully achieved for the new rear stair, fifth floor elevational alterations and rear car park area/plant.
