This historic building is an architectural masterpiece, pairing original detail with ultra-modern features.

Having been occupied by the same tenant for over 100 years, 40 Grosvenor Gardens was in need of a full refurbishment. Orbit's refurbishment sensitively restored the principal rooms and common areas where some heritage assets were retained; rear mews and more.

The dramatic and detailed restoration has resulted in one of Belgravia’s finest French Renaissance buildings, which offers luxurious and contemporary office spaces with bespoke lighting, bold colours, and high-quality flooring.

Specialist trades were used to accurately recreate mouldings, cornices and fine plaster features. The encaustic tiles in the entrance lobby were badly damaged, so a supplier was found to accurately recreate the pattern, colours and sizes of the tiles that needed to be replaced.

The Mews has been designed to be a more contemporary space, and includes high-end bespoke architectural features. The space is ideal for galleries, show rooms, private consultation space and office occupiers.

The transformation of 40 Grosvenor Gardens has also delivered high sustainability credentials with an EPC rating of B, which is a phenomenal result for a heritage refurbishment.
