Talon

A calm and creative headquarters for Talon that channels the energy of Soho and Chinatown while putting collaboration and visitor welcome at the heart of the workspace.

Talon, a global out-of-home media agency, needed a new headquarters on Shaftesbury Avenue that would reflect the buzz of its world-class location while giving teams a space that feels focused, warm, and welcoming. The brief called for a workplace that supports collaboration without sacrificing calm, and that makes a strong first impression for clients and visitors. 

Orbit’s design approach drew directly from the character of the surrounding streets. A palette of terracotta and other warm tones brings an easy sense of familiarity, while layered textures add depth and softness across shared areas. Timber blocks, arranged with a brick-like rhythm, create a subtle reference to the local built fabric. A ceiling feature weaves through the breakout space in a playful nod to Chinatown’s dragon, adding movement and identity without overwhelming the room. 

The plan centres on connection. A combined coffee bar, reception, and meeting room cluster sits at the heart of the office, creating a natural arrival point and a social anchor for the day. This central hub supports informal conversations, quick catch-ups, and structured meetings, helping Talon’s teams collaborate with ease. 

With an unusual floorplate and challenging existing features, delivery demanded close coordination across suppliers and specialist subcontractors. Orbit provided delivery and design management throughout, ensuring the concept design translated into a cohesive, high-quality fit-out, with value created through clarity and coordination from design intent to completion.
